Nov 11	Saturday, November 11th, Veterans’ Day This day was originally called Armistice Day, because that was when an armistice was signed that ended World War One. In 1958, the day was changed to Veterans’ Day to honor soldiers who served in all of America’s wars. If you are a veteran, be proud of your accomplishments!

July 21	Saturday, July 21st. Trip to Fort Delaware with a dinner outing at Crabby Dick’s Restaurant, Delaware City, Delaware. Fort Delaware, located on an island opposite Delaware City, was once an important army installation which was used as a prisoner of war camp during the Civil War. The ferry to Fort Delaware leaves the dock at Delaware City every hour, beginning at 10 A.M. The cost of the ferry is $6.00. After we tour the fort, we will have dinner at Crabby Dick’s, a popular seafood restaurant on the Delaware City waterfront. We plan to be at the Delaware City parking area to Fort Delaware by 12:30 P.M. June 9	Saturday June 9th, Tour of The National Shirine of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church near Doylestown, PA, and Prime Timers Picnic at nearby Peace Valley Park. Come with Prime Timers Philadelphia as we tour the impressive buildings and grounds of this impressive Roman Catholic shrine. We plan to tour the shrine some time between 11 AM and 2 P.M. At 2:30 P.M., Richard T. and John M. will host a Prime Timers picnic at nearby Peace Valley Park. Enjoy an afternoon of good food and camaraderie with a great assemblage of hot mature men. Cost for picnic: $10 per person, paid in advance. For those of you who would like to travel with us to Doylestown from Philadelphia, transportation will be provided from the William Way Center. May 28	Memorial Day: On this day we remember those who have served and fallen in all of nation's wars, including the present conflict in Iraq. Whether or not we agree with the reasons our government used to send soldiers to wars, we should respect and honor the people who have answered the call to serve their and our nation.
